Munich High End show cancelled this year

Due to public health concerns the High End 2020 show, planned to be held in Munich this May, is cancelled.
This comes after local government issued a warning due to rising number of coronavirus cases in the country. The Show organisers, High End Society GmbH, decided to cancel the show. Their Facebook message went live on Feb 28, followed by a more detailed statement at the official website.
The annual High End Show in Munich is a major world scale event in Hi-Fi & High End industry. 21 000 visitors were reported for year 2019.
Cary Audio Europe was exhibiting there in years 2018 and 2019.
Further developments are of course unpredictable and will be dependent on epidemic situation in Europe and elsewhere.
A string of cancellations marked European exhibition calendar since organisers of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona declared it impossible to hold the event in February. A huge Motor Show in Geneva due to start in March is also not taking place this year.

Update. We have information from the organisers of AXPONA (planned to be held in Chicago, USA) which states:’AXPONA has been rescheduled from April 17-19 to August 7-9, 2020 out of concern for the health and safety of all participants due to the growing coronavirus situation’.

Also Prolight+Sound 2020 exhibitors were informed that ‘Given the increasing spread of Covid-19 in Europe, Messe Frankfurt has decided to postpone Prolight+Sound 2020. The trade fair was originally planned for 31 March to 3 April. The health of exhibitors, visitors, contractors and employees has top priority for Messe Frankfurt. The new dates for the Global Entertainment Technology Show are from 26 to 29 May 2020’.
